A unique riding experience on quality horses in unspoilt countryside

Less than one hour's drive from North London near  Cambridge and 20 mins from Stansted

I offer escorted off road riding, from half day to full day, with pub lunch stops and long distance trekking for the more adventurous on top quality horses. I also provide first class on site accommodation  for those who want a short riding break, holiday or just make a week end of it.

We will be stopping operations at the end of November and will only be accepting ride bookings until that time restricted to no more than two riders.

Horse Affairs offers competent and experienced riders a unique opportunity to enjoy stunning open countryside at the pace of their choice customised to the individual rider. Under my close supervision you can be as involved as much, or as little, as you wish. From catching the horse in the morning, grooming and tacking and planning a route.  Or you can just turn up and ride with the horses already prepared.

Our approach is very different from the typical riding school as the focus is on you and your particular riding ambition. Rides are individually customised and personalised to match your capabilities, interests and ambitions and limited to groups of no more than four riders.You will be matched to a horse that has been selected for its stamina, performance and safety and one that will give you the greatest riding pleasure.

I will introduce you to an extensive network of centuries old bridle paths, byways and Roman roads - in the beautiful north Essex countryside, close to the Suffolk borders. The vast majority of our riding is off road and I have access to a large country estate through ancient woods and farm tracks. You will see beautiful flora and wildlife, very likely one of many herds of deer, herons, buzzards and the occasional fox.
